General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to local inflammation. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

You can also apply ice packs. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
