What Causes Leg Tremors After Taking Meloxicam?

My husband has developed leg tremors upon standing and has to step back and forth to get his balance. They disappear when he starts to walk or when he sits down. He had a head injury 2 years ago after a fall from his bike. He also takes meloxicam. Might this be a side effect? Thank you for your help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it's less likely due to Meloxicam as it isn't normally associated with such side effects, however detail neurological examination, cerebellar signs, and neurologist review may be needed. Nerve conduction studies may also be needed. Treatment is accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
