What Causes Light Brown Menstruation After Protected Intercourse?
Question: I recently lost my virginity. I have been on birth control for a long time and am very diligent about taking it. When I lost my virginity, I was still on birth control and used Extra Safe condoms, which had no complications. I am now on my period but it s very different from my usual heavy, red flow. It s super light and brownish. I have done two pregnancy tests- both negative. What does this change mean? Is it possible to be pregnant despite all the protection and negative tests? Thanks! The pregnancy tests were taken 8 days after intercourse.
Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM. Its almost impossible to get pregnant after using condom with 2 negative pregnancy test. There are various hormonal changes occuring after intercourse and as ur are stil on birth control pills so there can be alteration in period flow or color. In my opinion if ur getting ur period than there is no question of pregnancy. If ur period becomes irregular or with altered pattern than u can consult a gynecologist. Thanks I hope my answer will be helpful to u.
