General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Propanolol is used to help treat some of the symptoms of anxiety (such as increased heart rate and increased blood pressure) but it does not treat anxiety itself.
It would help with these symptoms but you would need other medication to help with the anxiety.
Some persons may only need the anxiety medication since the reduced anxiety leads to a reduction in these symptoms.

If you are feeling light headed with them then you may need to discontinue them and use an alternative.
It would be best to speak or visit your GP for an assessment.

I hope this helps
