What Causes Light Headedness While On Propranolol?
I ve been giving propanolol by my gp for anxeity I only take 10mg twice a day. I ve been taking them for a few weeks and I feel light headed from them. I just want to know how long with it take for this to stop or will I make an appointment again with my gp
Propanolol is used to help treat some of the symptoms of anxiety (such as increased heart rate and increased blood pressure) but it does not treat anxiety itself. It would help with these symptoms but you would need other medication to help with the anxiety. Some persons may only need the anxiety medication since the reduced anxiety leads to a reduction in these symptoms.
If you are feeling light headed with them then you may need to discontinue them and use an alternative. It would be best to speak or visit your GP for an assessment.
I hope this helps
