General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Light periods in otherwise normal menstrual history with unprotected sex could be due to pregnancy or other causes like hormonal imbalance. You should go for a gynecological examination followed by needful investigations to exclude pregnancy (with pregnancy test) or find underlying cause of irregular periods to get cause specific treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
