What Causes Light Period Along With Blood Clots While Urinating?

My period came about 3 days late. it started spotting the first 2 days then on the 3rd day it came when I was urinating in clots that are black and very big. the blood flows only when I have to urinate and spotting happens otherwise. I have been getting severe cramps for the 3 days so far and is very weak and tired. also, I thought I was pregnant last month because it was about 1 week late. thank you.

Hi,

These period needs just follow up at the meantime, watch it carefully in this month and if it recurred afterwards, you can do some lab investigations and imaging to see what's wrong.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
