What Causes Lightheadedness And Dizziness While Getting Up?
Sometimes when getting up I will get lightheaded n dizzy n my vision will blacken. I feel my body shaking and I have to hold on to something to keep myself from falling and ease myself down to sit. I blink a couple of times and my vision clears but my legs feel like jello.
I understand your concern. Regarding your symptoms, you have orthoststic hypotension, which means, that your body is not able to compensate low blood pressure which appears in upper parts of body regarding to gravitation which leads to hypoxia in brain. This is not a severe condition. Just be catious while standing up, drink a lot of fluids, at least 1.5-2L per day. If your symptoms progress, go to your GP to make proper examination. The unusual sensation in your legs is caused by hypoxia in brain.
I hope this answer was helpful to you.
