What Causes Lightheadedness, Fatigue, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, BP When Having Thyroid Problems?

I ve had thyroid probs since 10, & am now 33 yr old F. I ve been experiencing lightheadedness, fatigue, anxiety, panic attacks, BP spikes, flushed face & just overall feeling like crap! I ve been seen in ER several tmes. All heart test, MRI of brain & chest xray r normal! I saw my cardiologist today & he ordered an adrenal blood work up, which I don t have yet. I can t stop worrying about results. If my levels come back whacked out, will it be easy to fix so I ll start feeling better? I m tired of runninh to the ER when an attack hits! I believe something is goin on with the adrenal or pituitary. ...will I b ok?

Hi Dear,
good day
Occasionally adrenal gland problems coexist with certain thyroid disorders. You have not mentioned what thyroid disorder you have. Your Doctor was right in checking adrenal hormones when you have such episodic symptoms. However one should understand that certain thyroid disorders itself can produce hormones which can cause these symptoms. Trust your doctor and please get the tests done . And yes, if there is a problem found in the screening tests, we need to do further tests like CT scan and sometimes a nuclear scan. Even if a problem is found, there are effective ways to treat it and can be cured in most cases. Stay cool and learn a relaxation method like breathing exercise and yoga etc.
Cheers
