Hello,
You have a history of
inner ear effusion. It is good to know that your neuro exam, CT, blood work outs and vitals are normal. No, don't get nervous, do not freak. Light-headedness and unsteady sensations are indicative of
Vertigo. Fluid in the ear can cause imbalance and spinning
dizziness. Infections in the middle ear due to fluid accumulation can trigger Vertigo.
You can take a course of Vertin -32, for relieve. Avoid driving or doing any heavy work. Sit down immediately when you feel dizzy. Stay at rest and avoid stress and addictions if any. Take the help of a stick to walk if you are having problems with balancing. Get clinically examined by your ENT, he may ask you to get MRI, ENG/VNG done. Get
audiometry test done to detect any loss of hearing.
Your treatment will depend on the the pathology detected & your symptoms. You will be treated by medicines,
physical therapy or surgery, depending on your clinical condition. Get treated at the earliest. Neglect may lead to complications & worsening of the symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
