What Causes Loose Bowels And Fast Heart Rate After Taking Ibuprofen And Omeprazole?
Hi, I ve have inflammation of my rib Cartlidge due to recently having Lyme disease. Doctor had prescribed ibuprofen and omeprazole. Since then I ve had a dodgy stomach ( loose bowels), also had fast heart rate. Could this be from omeprazole as I had taken ibuprofen on its own prior to being prescribed them (2 days) which seems to help and I didn t have them symptoms then?
Hi, omeprazole can be the reason behind your loose bowels. I hope you are not receiving any other medications for other conditions. Increased heart rate usually is not the side effect of either ibuprofen or omeprazole. It could be secondary to loose bowels. Take adequate fluids for fluid replacement after loose bowels. If you do not have any gastric acidity related issues after taking ibuprofen, then omeprazole may not be needed. Speak to your consultant about it. Hope this information helps you. Thanks.
