Hi,my husband had loose and watery stools since January.Later they diagnosed it as amebiasis. He used Couple of Antibiotics and later they tested his stool 5 times. No signs of amebiasis or any other infection. The blood work was also normal except little high sugar levels. He also visited the GI and suggested for a colonoscopy but even this was normal, the biopsy was also normal. But still he has loose stool twice or thrice in a week.He also lost 16 pounds since january. He is very much worried. What can be his problem. You answer can really help us.Thank you
If the colonoscopy did not show any lesions and the stool tests have been normal, it is possible that his persisting symptoms may be related to intolerance to one or more of the foods that he is using.
He may want to try to keep a food diary to keep tract of foods used so that he may be able to determine if there are any particular foods that can causing the problem.
HI Well come to BCM You said here that your husband is having diarrhea some what loose may not be watery but this is normal one even if this happening daily then also this would be normal one and this is nothing to worry, and no need to treat the condition, hope this information helps ( comment:- As long as the diarrhea is concern this is self limiting hydration is the matters )
