What Causes Loss Of Appetite And Sleeplessness In Infant?

Hello.my 3month old has had a loss of appetite for the past 3 days. Not sleeping more than 30mins. Crus himself to sleep and howls to drink a feed. I have started giving him bonnisan syrup . It does help a little. I am concerned that he may develop an ulcer. He is on novolac ar and can take up to 270mls on a good feed. Now he is down to 270mls for mayb the whole day. My pead prescribed him losec and motilium a month back. This caused him to actually get worse and I have stopped it completely. Can I continue giving him a probiotic now (reuterina) to also help?

Hi,

I feel he needs a stool examination for infection or food allergy(lactose intollerance).

After this pediatrician may suggest change in his feed as well as some medications to improve his condition.

In case lactose intollerance is excluded breast milk with medication to improve like probiotics OR antibiotics as per need. Please take him to pediatric gastroenterologist.
