What Causes Loss Of Smell With Heavy Throat & Ear Pain?
Hi, I ve been experiencing problems with my sense of smell and taste for over 2 months (dulled sense of smell and taste, but also heightened sense of smell to certain scents). I also have a heavy feeling in my throat when swallowing (as if my tonsils are swollen, but on exammination, they re normal), intermittent ear pain and constant tinnitus. This has been ongoing and worsening for the past 2 months and an MRI brain scan revealed normal results. Do you have any advice as to what could be causing these symptoms?
Ear piano after a sore throat is due to eustachian tube blockage. The loss of smell is probably due to nasal congestion. Please get a x-ray paranasal sinuses done and send me the picture so that I can suggest you better.
