What Causes Loss Of Taste After Taking Medication For Stomach Upset?
Hi my mother is 75 years old she is suffering from arthritis a few days back she took medicine for upset stomach eventually she lost her taste she became very weak she develops tingling sensation on the pores of her fingers and the sole of her feet become swelling after tests it was found that she is anemic with only 8 gm of blood

* According to my surgical experience, the loss of taste is due to drug side effect with possible effect over the taste buds.
* The tingling in fingers and hands may be partly related to low haemoglobin and partly as a side-effect of drugs like Dicyclomine given for stomach cramps.
