What Causes Stomach Upset And White Spots In Bowel Movements?
I plan on calling my Dr. here soon, but I just wanted to read up on the possible causes. Lately my stomach has been a little upset, and I've noticed that my bowel movements have started having white specs in them. No new foods have been eaten, and I'm not on any medication. Any idea what could be causing this?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Upset stomach with white specks in stool may be indicative of the following: Indigestion due to mild intestinal infection or intolerance to certain foods or additives that can develop anytime in life. This can be diagnosed by a simple test of stool when you have white specks in the stool. If the infection is present, you can get a course of an antibiotic and probiotics and see the results. Another way is to eliminate certain foods, additives, beverages and see the results. Consult your Doctor for discussion and get a valid prescription for tests and medications as needed. Also watch for any other symptoms or signs related to stomach like bloating, gases, gurgling, constipation or loose stools and tell your Doctor.
