Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a fall and needed stitches on my knee. I am vasovagal and when I fell I almost passed out. Normally my blood pressure is low 100 to 90/ 65. At the er it was 150/66. Is that because of almost passing out or is my high blood pressure a sign of trouble.
Blood pressure is normal vasovagal attack can result in fall causing injury to any part of the body can be postural hypotension. It can be a panic reaction to anything like blood or frightening effect of anything. It is also called syncope related to sudden fall of blood pressure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
