hi sir/mam,your description of symptoms is elaborative and helpful to doctors.thanks and keep it up.there is no evidence of zinc causing rash.but any drug can cause
allergic reaction that may manifest as rash.just check if you had any new cosmetics including soap, body lotion, sunscreen, talcum powder or any recent body massages or body spa.all these may show
allergic rash.treatment includes the following :
1)
anti histamines like
hydroxyzine to be taken twice daily orally.
2)any
topical steroid cream can be applied like betnasol or
hydrocortisone cream.
3)avoid contact with allergic cosmetics and take care of your bedding that no insects or fleas dwell in it.
4)if all the above measures fail, then you can go for oral
prednisone therapy.it is advised to start with a low dose and increase over a week.tapering of dose in 3 weeks is to be done.
one important thing is that if rash is associated with pustules, fever, malaise like symptoms, you may need a consultation of an internal medicine specialist.
hope my explanation clears your doubts and decreases your apprehension.any other issues, please let me know.i’m always here to address your concerns.wish you and your family a very happy, healthy and peaceful new year.thank you.take care.bye.
