My sister has been in rehab for one month now. She can t walk or sand due to a sore that is very deep on her heel. She is only up to do PT and put back into bed. So time sitting up isn t too long. Her BP has dropped and will be Aden to hospital. My question is what has caused the BP to drop suddenly
We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what your sister had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to multiple causes including micronutrients deficiencies to anaemia or lethargy.
Also, endocrine disorders like hypothyroidism to Addison multiple causes can cause such symptoms. Other types of shock or low BP are less likely with the history you presented.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
