Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am a 62 yr old male I haven t done much exercise for a long time other than some fast walking. My usual blood pressure has been about the 131/74 pulse 65. I get quite a bit of diagnosed ectopic beats. I can take a half a betaloc if I wish but I tend to not bother unless it really bugs me. Tonight I went for my first of a month of quite intense exercise program combined with a dietary regimen to follow . My goals are to gain flexibility and some muscle, lose 5 kilos. And about 10cm from my waist. I am 171cm tall weigh 76kg and I am 102cm around the waist. My concern is that 15mins after the hour exercise I checked my BPand it was 105/62 pulse 92. 25 mins after it was 98/61 pulse 84. And an hour and a half after it was 100/66 pulse 72. The BP is so low my question is there a problem and should I continue the program?
