What Causes Low Blood Pressure After Taking Lopressor And Benazepril?
My husband had heart surgery for valve replacement and 1 bypass 3 weeks ago and doctor put him on lopressor 25 mg and he is also taking amlodipine besylate/benazepril hcl 5-20 mg. His blood pressure has been low, 107/65 - 80 pulse rate for most of the day and night for the past week. The doctor also put him on eliquis and a baby aspirin. He also has a pacemaker for 3D degree block. He goes back to the heart surgeon on Tuesday for follow up. I m concerned about his blood pressure being so low. He weighs about 227 and is 65 years old. Thanks for any info concerning this.
Hello dear. Since your husband has heart disease the doctor has put him on tablets to reduce blood pressure. Your husband's blood pressure is perfectly normal and well under control. 107/65 is perfectly ok for a patient with heart conditions. You need not worry about it. You can go to your heart surgeon for follow up on the date of appointment. Nothing to worry.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
