My Dad has cancer and is on several meds. He had issues with his BP being too high but now it is dropping too low and several of his meds are for BP issues along with other issues also . He is loosing his sight and almost passing out . What do I need to do
It would have been nicer had you mentioned the names of the medicines which your huband is taking as of now. 1.You should see your physician immediately and check if any two medicines have any drug interation. 2. Also, sometimes dose adjustments are required . You should see if the dose that your husband is on is not too high for him. 3. Also, check with your physicain if the medicines that he is taking for cancer treatment are not causing his BP to drop. 4.Look for other causes of low BP in such co-morbid conditions as cancer.
It would be nice if you could visit an opthalmologist for his eye check up as well. Follow up with me with the names of the medicines that he is already taking and also the type of cancer and which stage it is in.
Hope this helps, Regards, Dr.Pallavi Jain MBBS,MD Biochemistry
