What Causes Low Blood Pressure While Suffering From Pyelonephritis?

My daughter is in the hospital right now with severe polynephritis. She has had the abcess drained and has the tube in her back. Her blood pressure keeps dropping and it is 101/55 right now. What can we expect as to recovery from here. I am out of town and very worried and am only getting information through texts.
