Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of low grade fever and swollen lymph node despite having COPD which is due to infection and inflammation in tonsils known as tonsillitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to get following investigations done such as
1) - Complete blood count 2) - Throat swab test 3)- Liver function test
You should visit general physician once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Till then avoid intake of cold carbonated drinks. Avoid oily and fried food substances. Take combination of antibiotic along with Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen. Do warm saline gargles daily.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
