Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Low Grade Fever And Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck?
I am 22y old 120lbs. I have been sick since January of this year. Low grade fever, very swollen lymph nodes in neck and armpit. Night sweats. Hives on hands feet knees elbows scalp and stomach. Extreme fatigue. Headaches. Cough. Iv gone to the doc and had blood work done but he didn’t find anything.
A single investigation or the test will not be enough as long as the given symptoms of fatigue, low-grade fever, swelling of lymph node etcetera are a concern because the given symptoms could be suggestive of some micro-bacterium infection of lungs.
Numbers of tests are there like Blood test, imaging studies, different type of blood test needed, like serum studies, biochemistry, in imaging studies, it includes x-ray of chest, sonography, CT imaging, then and then diagnosis will be clear, the given symptoms cannot be taken lightly, but it demands the investigations.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
