What Causes Low Heart Rate And Severe Fatigue?

My husband is 76 yrs old, had an echocardiogram was told he had some valve leakage whilbut very mild also was told his heart was stiff. We had seen this doctor a few weeks ago and he had my husband wear a Holter monitor for 24 hours and they said that his heart rate dropped down into the 30s so he had a pacemaker put in now they just did the echocardiogram and we really don t understand what all this means. He is not feeling well as his extremely fatigued I asked the doctor shouldn t he have a stress test to see if there were any blockages and the doctor doesn t seem to think so, I do,am I wrong.

Hello,

There is definite evidence of vulvar and heart musculature issues as told herewith will give slow heart rate, fatigue as peripheral tissues do not get enough oxygenated blood due to compromised pumping. Stress test is not advisable as that may worsen his heart condition, rather than best tool is to undergo coronary angiography for the perfect evaluation, plan of management depending upon that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
