Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Low Hemoglobin Levels A Year After Being Diagnosed With Angina?
I was diagnosed as having angina just over a year ago, I ve since had several MI events but I m also aware that I have low hemoglobin and have been yawning frequently for about a year too. I m starting to question the angina diagnosis - an angiogram found nothing, my blood sat s are all good etc and I d stopped smoking for about 19 months when I had the first MI event. What else could I be suffering from?
After going through your query I understand your concern.
I would like to tell you that if you have low hemoglobin levels then it cause ischemic heart disease. Severe Anemia is a major factor causing Angina and can cause heart failure, rhythm disturbance and higher mortality rate if left untreated.
Its highly recommended for you to personally consult a GP and get done CBC, Iron profile, Evaluation of blood loss etc. for further management.
Hope to have been helpful.
Kind Regards Dr. Navneet Bansal
