Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Normal potassium level is around 3.5-5 mmol/liter.
If less than 2.5 causes serious problems for muscle, nerve and heart as potassium required for heart, nerve and muscle actions.
There are many reasons of low potassium manly due to loss in urine or stool due to vomiting or diarrhea.
Sometimes your current medication also decrease potassium level.
You have to change the medicines causing it or find out the disease which causing it.
Please consult your physician for that.
Treatment is very simple.
Just start potassium supplements after consultations.
Hope these will help you a lot.
