my partner has very smelly urine which is dark brown. he suffers from NEAD (non epileptic attack disorder). he also gets the shakes when he hasnt eaten. he has had a 24 hour fasting blood test which has come back normal. although he had the shakes. His blood sugars dropped to 2.8 when first diagnosed with NEAD even after eating. Being Diabetic myself i get the shakes when i have a hypo. i have tested his blood using my meter when he hasnt eaten and they are on average 3.1. which i thought between 5 and 7 was normal. Could this be low blood sugar diabetes? is there such a thing as low blood sugar diabetes?
Dear sir i can understand your concerns in my opinion this kind of repeated low sugars need to be evaluated for conditions like increased insulin secretion. usually blood sugar going below 2.8 is very dangerous to brain as 90% of brain depends on glucose for daily energy needs. kindly do blood test like fasting insulin essay and C-peptide essay this investigations might guide us towards diagnosis. kindly give her short meals with complex carbohydrates. regards
