HI I AM A 46 YEAR OLD FEMALE AND SINCE MID APRIL I HAVE HAD A BLADDER INFECTION. I HAVE BEEN ON MACROBID 3 TIMES, CEPTRA 3 TIMES AND AMOXACILIN ONCE. EVERY TIME THE CULTURE THE URINE IT COMES BACK NEGATIVE. BUT EVERY TIME HE CHECKS THE URINE WITH THE DIP STICK IT SHOWS THAT I HAVE RED AND WHITE CELLS AND NOTHING HAS CLEARED UP. HE SENT ME FOR A ULTRASOUND ON MY KIDNEYS AND A PELVIC ULTRASOUND. EVERYTHING COMES BACK NORMAL. I DO HAVE LOWER ABDOMINAL PAIN (not to severe) AND I HAVE A LOT OF NAUSEA. CAN YOU GIVE ANY INSITE AS TO WHAT I SHOULD DO NEXT OR WHAT THIS BE?
Hi, I am Dr Mittal. Given information on the infection doesn't have the symptoms that you may have been suffering from .I think the possibility of a different type has to be kept in mind.
If the infection was diagnosed on the base of the test of urine but no symptoms had been present, a possible cause may be a kidney disease.
Loss of rbc in urine is not typical of urine infection. It is character of the kidneys disease.

What Causes Lower Abdominal Pains And Nausea?
Hi, I am Dr Mittal. Given information on the infection doesn t have the symptoms that you may have been suffering from .I think the possibility of a different type has to be kept in mind. If the infection was diagnosed on the base of the test of urine but no symptoms had been present, a possible cause may be a kidney disease. Loss of rbc in urine is not typical of urine infection. It is character of the kidneys disease. I think the test of serum creatinine and urea may help. Of course, the possibility of a yet undiagnosed kidney infection called pyelonephritis is also to be considered seriously. Mixing of vaginally secretions have to be ruled out. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
