Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 17 year old daughter has had lower right abdominal pain for a while, unrelated to eating and not gas pains. She is not constipated or has diahrea. This has been going on for about 3 months. The pain comes and goes. SHe has decreased appetite. We went to our doctor and took a stool sample and are watiing for results. RIght now she is naseaus and has been gagging all night. THere is nothing left in her stomach and she can t stop gagging. At one point in the past she had high blood sugar (pre-diabetic), but she modified her diet and it went back to normal. SHe has no fever. SHe was adopted form RUssia at age 3 and I do not have her medical history. NOt sure what might be going on. ANy suggestions? I am worried it might be her liver or that her high blood sugar may be back. She is a teenager and her diet is not always very good even though our familyy diet is good. Thoughts? Thank you
