General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Feeling bloating with pain in the right side of your lower abdomen for the past two weeks is suggesting gas in your bowels. It could be due to hyperacidity issues of the stomach or indigestion of foods.

You are right, this is the site of appendix, but the symptoms you are having are more due to colitis with bloating and not to appendix.

However, as this has been going on for 2 weeks now, I suggest to consult with your physician, to get a physical examination (I want to know the Blumberg sign if present) and run urine analysis and abdominal ultrasound for proper diagnosis.

Hope this helps.
