What Causes Memory Loss And Dizziness While On Carbatrol For Severe Headaches?
I have been having severe headaches on the right side of my head. It is also associated with swelling, tingling and blood shot eye with swelling of the eye. This has been going on for 10 weeks now. I have seen my family doctor and been seen by a neurologist who prescribed carbatrol (600mg per day). All this has done is cause memory lose, irritability, dizziness, hot flashes and drowsiness. I have seen an ophtomologist, had xrays and a CT, non of which have shown anything wrong. I continue to have the headaches with the swelling. I am 55 years old and am out of options. Please advise.
Blurred vision and depression feeling is quite common side effect of drug carbamazepine used for various neurologic conditions. Should report the issue to your doc office and get necessary guidelines to stop the medicine, continue with alteration in dose, addition of new drug or else for better recovery at fastest possible period.
