What Causes Memory Loss And Mood Swings When Suffering From Hypertension?

58 year old male with hypertension has been experiencing severe memory loss, extreme mood swings, and confrontational/argumentative behaviors. Hypertension under control with medications. He is 5 10 and 245 pounds. Is somewhat active exercise wise. Has complained of migraines, dizziness, fatigue, confusion, and like movements in the head. The memory loss issue is short term loss. Had an MRI and it said parenchymal volume loss. Have scheduled appointments with a neurologist and psycho-neurologist. Any thoughts on possible diagnosis???? Possible treatment options?? Is this curable?? What are the worst possible diagnoses????
