What Causes Migraine Headache Inspite Of Taking Acetaminophen And Dichloralphenazone?
Hi, I have had what appears to be a migraine headache for the last four days. Symptoms include severe headache, sore neck, nausea, and extreme fatigue. In the last two days I ve experienced tingling pains in my head, neck, and now hands. I was prescribed isometheptene mucate dichloralphenazone and acetaminophen by urgent care, and am not experiencing very much relief. Thank you!
Based on the symptoms you have mentioned, it sounds like you may be having a migraine. A migraine is a pain over the face, skull, scalp, or head that occurs after one is exposed to a trigger factor. Here are some possible trigger factors - Loud sounds Bright lights Lack of sleep Certain foods or smells.
The best way to prevent a migraine is to avoid the triggers of a migraine. In case this does not help, here are a few things that can help. Drinking lots of water Sleeping more than 8 hours day Taking warm showers Steam inhalation And sitting in a dark and quiet room
In case the migraine does not resolve, getting an EEG and getting X-rays of the skull done can help. Some migraines may require stronger medication which can be suggested by your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
