What Causes Mild Pulmonary Hypertension When Previously Diagnosed With Epilepsy?

I ve been diagnosed with mild pulmonary hypertension and respirologists with the Pulmonary Hypertension Programme at Toronto (Ontario, Canada) General Hospital are contemplating prescribing Opsumit (macitentan) to me with monthly blood tests. However, I also take dilantin and primidone to control my 50+ year diagnosis of epilepsy. Hmm... that fact caused these specialists to rethink the prescription. They are now suggesting traleer (sp?) instead. Other medical challenges: CREST prescribed AdalatXL and a GERD medication to treat that problem Proven asymptommatic carrier of Emery-Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy Your thoughts, advice, words of wisdom would certainly be appreciated! thanks. I have an appointment with my GP on Sept 9 and would like to be somewhat informed when I meet with him. Kathleen Wagner
