What Causes Mild Seizures And Twitching Sensation While Taking Xanax?
Hi am am wondering- I got out of rehab 6 months ago for using pain pills and xanax. While in rehab I started experiencing what can only be described as shortseizures. I feel the constant need to stretch my arms and when I do I black out and I twitch really bad, usually falling to the ground. It takes several seconds before I can think striaght again. 6 months later this is still going on. It never happened before in my life before rehab. They ccouldn t explain it. Can you?
Your symptoms of mild seizures and twitching are due to sudden withdrawal of Xanax. Reported withdrawal symptoms of Xanax are insomnia, headache, tremors, anxiety, seizures, excessive sweating and muscle stiffness. You need medical attention. Please do consult a psychiatrist for treatment of withdrawal symptoms and prevention of going back to Xanax.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
