What Causes Missed Menstruation After Protected Intercourse?

I had protected sex, my cycle was a week early in December and now its late 2 weeks, took a pregnancy test, says negative. But, by 2 weeks it should show up, have had normal PMS symptoms. I have been changing my eating habits and working out, and I am planning a wedding so I am very stressed. Should I go get bloodwork done or am I paranoid.

Hello,

thanks for posting and congratulations for your upcoming wedding.

In actual fact, you should not get pregnant if you protected self while having sexual intercourse but in the other hand you do have all the elements that can lead to a missed period such as change in eating habit, stress and working up.
Just stay calm and give some few more days or a week or two for your period to be back and if it still does not come, then you get a gynecological consult.

Hope this helps
