What Causes Missed Periods, Sensitive Breast After Unprotected Sex Followed By Nordette/i-pill?
Ive had unprotected sex on Nov 19th then on Nov 20 at 7pm, i took my first dose of nordette ecps and after 12 hours i took the second dose. Then on the 26th I still havent got my withdrawal bleeding so i took another first dose of nordette again but didnt take the second dose. I got my withdrawal bleeding on the 28th of Nov..then after my withdrawal bleeding ended or 5 days later i had unproected sex twice again in two weeks, and took another 2 doses of nordette. Its already the 23rd of december and i havent gotten my period yet but my boobs sometimes feels sensitive..am i pregnant? Or my menstrual cycle is just messed up because i took 16 pills( 4 pills per dose) in 6 weeks?

Hi,
Combined hormonal pills can be used for emergency contraception purpose when taken in high doses as you have taken.
If second time also you have taken the pills within 12 hours after the unprotected intercourse, the possibility of pregnancy is less. You can expect around 90% to 95% protection.
Repeated intake of high dose hormonal pills can affect the natural hormonal levels and can lead to irregular periods.
Breast tenderness can be due to premenstrual hormonal fluctuation. Now, you please go for a urine pregnancy test once to rule out the possibility of pregnancy. If the test gives negative result, possibly you may get periods soon.
If you do not get periods, even after one week, please consult your Gynecologist once, get examined and go for an ultrasound to find out the possible cause and take treatment accordingly.
