What Causes Momentary Blackout?

Background of my Issue : I get momentry blackout. My doctor suggested me various drugs which has effectively reduced it. I m taking Zeptol CR 400 1 - 0 - 1, I have not got this blackout issue for past 2 yrs. How fast is there a possibility to reduce the dosage to NIL. Please give me an idea.

I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. When and how to discontinue anti seizure drugs (especially zeptol) is not spelt out because of risk of recurrence but it is generally thought that you need to taper (reduce gradually) the dose to nil in 6 months. Momemtry blackouts (absence seizure) that begin in childhold and adolescence have a good prognosis. I think you should discuss with your treating doctor before taking any decision.
