What Causes Mood Swings And Depression While On Zoely?
Hi, i have been on Zoely for 2 and a half weeks now and my moods have changed as i feel emotionally disconnected and have moodswings; depression and not myself. Also had breakthrough bleeding for 2weeks, but took 2 tablets and seemed to work for that. However i want to know will my moods return to normal as before i took this pill? Thanks in advance

There are multiple side effects associated with this drug and mood swing or depression is one of them. Zoely is hormonal pill and it interferes with your hormonal balance to stop the ovulation so you can not get pregnant. your body gets effected with this interference and can cause different side effects in different women but not all women experience these side effects some women's body get well adjusted to this medicine, some may get mild to severe side effects. you should discuss with your doctor, to be aware of any possible side effect.
If you are having mood swings which does not interfere with your daily activity and you are functioning well you should wait few days, your body might adjust to this pill within few days.
But if you do not adjust within few days or having severe mood swings interfering your daily activity, you should contact your doctor right away. He might consider to switch you to different contraception method.
