What Causes More Urination?

My husband had a heart attack at the age of 41.He was inhaling methane from manure at his work.It has been 2 years and all the tests come up good every 6 months.Except he has high blood pressure so he is on meds for that and high chloresterol.and he has copd.He takes 1 81 mg of aspirin and spiriva. He has been urinating alot lately and sometimes feels heaviness across his entire chest area. The doc told him if he didnt stop smoking that within 5 years i would be a widow.cause he could have what is called the widow maker heart attack.Do you think his urinating is a symptom of him having more heart problems?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. The medications he is on could be causing increased urination. Diuretics used to reduce hypertension, reduce body water through urination to reduce blood pressure.
2. If he has any swelling in leg or breathing difficulty or frothy sputum, its a symptom of cardiac failure. Smoking damages the blood vessels and increased atherosclerosis and hence risk of heart disease.
3. He needs to continue medication, reduce cholesterol, stop smoking and start moderate exercises. Urinating along is not a symptoms of heart problems. Not to worry.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
