What Causes Mouth Ulcers In A Child?

I have a nine year old little girl who is experiencing was is to be canker sores in her mouth. I noticed just yesterday that she was experiencing discomfort in chewing her food thoroughly. I've been told to have her rinse her mouth out with water and peroxide or salty water. Can you please advise me.

Hi..
Thanks for the query .

If your daughter has canker sores then pain and discomfort during meals..
Salt water or peroxide rinses can help but along with it to relieve pain you can apply Lidocaine gel over the ulcers at least 15-20 minutes before meals so that she doesn't have pain during meals.
Also taking Vitamin B complex supplement can help in faster healing.
Avoid irritant and spicy foods..
Sucking ice lollies can reduce inflammation and pain..
Gargling with antiseptic mouthwash can help in preventing infection..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
