What Causes Mucus Plug Loss With Hematuria, Back Pain And Swelling?
Hi my daughter is almost 38 weeks and she has lost her mucus plug, there is blood in her urine. She is having sever back pain, her legs, lips, and nose are swollen. She was at hospital till 6:00am this morning they said she has a infection. Well sorry to say but the hospital has been saying an infection since January and the hospital has had her on numerous of pill since then. Hell the doctor at hospital even gave her pills in February that she should NOT TAKE well pregnant (could harm baby) she took 2 of those pills, was told by her doctor stop taking them.GOOD HEALTH SYSTEM!!!! Can you tell me what this could be?

When at 38 weeks of pregnancy, your daughter has lost her mucous plug, she is in imminent labor. All other symptoms like blood in urine, severe back pain, swelling on face and legs, etcetera are due to the urinary infection she is having.
If repeated courses of antibiotics are of no use, please get her urine examination done for culture and sensitivity which will identify the causative organisms and the antibiotics to which they are sensitive. Accordingly, she should be given appropriate antibiotics. Please ask her to drink plenty of water.
Please get her urinary infection effectively treated before she goes in labor lest the risk of serious complications. Please report to a gynecologist or a urologist immediately.
