What Causes Muscle Ache In The Right Arm After Taking Atorvastatin?
My doctor prescribed Atorvastatin 80 mg. I took one on Thursday nite. I had muscle aches in upper rifgt arm the following day. I took 2nd dose Friday night amd the pain is worse todat along with my shoulder joint hurting. Should I discontinue use until I can contact doctor s office on Monday? Statins including atorvastatin can cause muscle pain. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Tramadol for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and ask for alternatives.
