Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Muscle And Joint Pain During Treatment For Cancer?
I have stage 3 Breast Cancer. I have had Chemotherapy, a Mastectomy, a second surgery to remove Axillary Nodes. I've had a total of 26 nodes removed. I am now in the middle of 33 radiation treatments. I am on 'Exemestane Tabs 25mg' once a day
At this time I am having extreme pain in my chest and back. also a deep aching in my muscles and joints. What would be causing this? I don't know whether to go to my Oncologist, Surgeon or Radiation Specialist.
I can understand ur concerns. Its the side effects of radiation therapy and other medications. Also lymph node removal leads to poor health as a whole. Consult your radiation specialist, Oncologist for better remedy of side effects. Its because they are better trained to treat such conditions. Have a nice time. Give feedback so that I may assist u better next time. Regards! DR. HANIF USA
