General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Atorvastatin and other medicines in this family can cause muscle aches and pain. It is one of the well-known side effects that can occur. It is not usually associated with the other symptoms that you are describing, however; you may want to be assessed for these.

It would be best to speak to your doctor to let him or her know what you are experiencing. I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
