They have also tried various meds to include anti-depressants, and steroids My main symptoms include: Muscle soreness , tight muscles Fatigue in the afternoon Eye floaters Catch in throat Hands and feet fall asleep at night. Tingling and some pain Ear ringing at night Cramping in toes when extended Odd smell in nose Light mucus in throat when waking up General malaise all the time Age 58, Prior to symptoms coming on gradually, I had been very athletic and in great condition. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

A chronic cough and runny nose may be symptoms of an allergy, and the relief you mentioned you have when use Montelukast or inhalers that means allergy is present. But a chronic cough also is a symptom of chronic bronchitis, tobacco used years ago has caused airways changes.

I suggest you have a periodic consultation with your doctor, this way your disease will be not neglected.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suzana Zharri,
