Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an intermittent "spasm" in my back on the right side, basically behind my right breast. It doesn't feel like a muscle but seems to radiate from internally. It only happens a few times a day and has been happening for about the past five to seven days. I've had no injury. I do exercise five times a week - some yoga, treadmill, squats and 12 pound weights. Just worry because I'm 55 and fear the irregular symptoms of heart problems for women or a lung problem... any thoughts?
Hi dear it seems to be excessive muscle strain may be because of heavy exercise or accidental, nothing much to worry. Please follow this advise: 1) Apply hot water shake on affected area thrice a day 2) Tab Hifenac Th to relieve the strain 3) Avoid exrecise and heavy lifting for few days 4) Diclofenac gel on affected area will reduce the pain 5) If problem persists then get the MRI done and get it clinically examined. Hope this information helps Thanks and regards Dr.Sohil Takodara
