What Causes Muscle Spasms In The Legs With Shooting Pain In Back?
My 11 year old daughter fell doing back handspring into lay out on beam in July 15, she fell and smashed her back on the beam, hit another beam and smashed her knee on another as she fell and landed on top of another gymnast. At the time her knee gave her a problem and it was noticed that one kneecap was higher than the other and after Xray and MRI it was decided she had a dyplasia caused due to growth and hasn t not done gymnastics since. In the September her hip started to give way to the point she could not put no pressure on it and she was on crutches. The said her muscles had gone into spasms when dancing! That finally settled but she then started complaining about a pain shooting around her back and causing a lot of pain. The hip keeps feeling like it pops out and if you run your hand down her spine about a 1/3 of the way up her spine there is an indentation. The GP will not listen but has finally sending her physio but I would like to know what is going on first. We have booked to see a Sports Injury Specialist but that is not until 7th April? Could you advise, we are really worried about her. Taylor is 11 years old, 4ft 10ins and 4st 10lbs
