What Causes Muscle Spasms On Back And Thigh In An Elderly Person?
I am a senior and when I got up from my chair this morning, the muscles on the back of my thigh, and around my knee and the bones in the knee went into a spasm. Is this a hamstring injury and will heat help it. I can hardly walk.Thanking you in advance.
Hi, It seems that there might be having strain and spasm of back and knee muscles due to suddeen getting up from chair. At this age die to having osteoporosis this type of pain is common. Take some analgesic, muscle relaxant for2-3 days. Take Calcium, vitamin D supplements. Go for regular light walking exercises afterwards. Ok and take care.
